September 2019 Update - A NEW DIGITAL REWARD

I'm sending out the September month end update summary a bit early, because I wanted to let you know about a DIGITAL REWARD DELIVERY!

That's right! It's time to send out the backer PDF version of Witch-Queen of the Shadowed Citadel!

REWARD DISTRIBUTION

Your link to claim your copy of the Witch-Queen of the Shadowed Citadel PDF for Cavaliers of Mars will be sent out by our BackerKit pledge manager today. Since we are using our partners at DriveThruRPG as the host for this, you will need to set up a DriveThru account if you don't have one already. If you encounter any problems with downloading your rewards, please contact DTRPG's customer service to resolve the matter, they've always been top-rated for customer service. http://www.drivethrurpg.com/contact_us.php

Again, you will receive an e-mail from BackerKit with a link for the Witch-Queen of the Shadowed Citadel Backer PDF today if it is on your expected list of rewards.

The easiest way to see if you've got digital downloads available is to login to your backerkit account: https://cavaliers-of-mars.backerkit.com/backer/digital_rewards and it'll show anything available. Your backerkit account should also confirm all rewards that you should expect from your reward tier selected.

To review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://cavaliers-of-mars.backerkit.com. You can also access your available DOWNLOADS from your BackerKit page, so check out your Chiaro postcard.

BACKER PDF VERSION

This is the first version of the Witch-Queen of the Shadowed Citadel to be released. We've sent you this initial Backer PDF for a few reasons:

1) To thank you for your support! You helped launch this game and bring this into the world, and you deserve to see it first!

2) To make the final version the best it can be! The design and development teams have done their best to proofread and correct any errors and typos - but some always sneak through. If you catch any typos, incorrect math, visual glitches, and the like, we want to hear about them and correct them before we send the book off to print.

With that in mind, let's start this errata and correction process!

Onyx Path has launched a special Witch-Queen of the Shadowed Citadel Errata Form, which you can access here: https://forms.gle/zyRiL3CJ1qcXFaYJ8

Generally, we try to keep errata collection open for the next 2 weeks, so please report what you can as soon as possible to make sure we're getting everything covered.

We won't be collecting errata from other spots, just this specific form. Please note this form will be for errata only - typos, incorrect math, page elements that overlap incorrectly, etc. It won't be for book discussion - you can do that in a different thread, or on the Kickstarter comments page.

Also, they already know about the Page XX notations - those are usually corrected after any changes are made and the books are being finalized.

After any needed corrections are made (based on your feedback!), we will prepare an updated final PDF version of the book and you will receive a notice that you can re-download your file with the latest version.

You've already made the game a reality with your Kickstarter support. Now you can make it even better by helping us crowdsource any minor errors and corrections.

Hey Cavalier Community,

Just wanted to throw a quick update out to let you know about Onyx Path and Gen Con 2019.

As you may have read in Onyx Path's recent Monday Meeting Notes blog, they won't have a booth in the Exhibit Hall this year. But that doesn't mean that Onyx Path won't be at the convention, or that you won't be able to pick up copies of your favorite games.

Instead, Onyx Path will be running seminars and game sessions, and leave the Exhibit Hall business to their sales partners - Studio 2 Publishing and Indie Press Revolution (IPR).

The Onyx Path team (Rich, Matt, Eddy, whoever else shows up...) will mostly be participating in the following panels during the convention: 

• Thursday 3pm – What’s Up With Onyx Path Publishing? panel (Rich Thomas version)
• Friday 11am – What’s Up with Onyx Path Community Content? panel
• Friday 3pm – Freelancing with Onyx Path Publishing? panel
• Saturday 11am – What’s Up with Onyx Path Publishing? panel (Rich-less version)

In addition, there are some programmed game sessions in the Event Guide.

While most of the games are currently marked as sold out this close to the convention, it's always a good idea to double-check if you're really interested. There are sometimes drop outs if people aren't feeling well or are unable to show, and a handful of generic tickets can maybe get you slotted into a vacated chair.

Of course, there will likely be a ton of pick-up and casual games over the Best Four Days in Gaming, so keep your eyes open for anyone wearing our Backer T-shirt! I'll be dressed just like my avatar (although it's a few years old now, so imagine with more white in the beard!) so feel free to say hello if you see me!

UK GAME EXPO

The Onyx Path team are gathering for the UK Game Expo! Eddy Webb, Matt McElroy, and Rich Thomas have traveled across the sea to join Matthew Dawkins, Steffie de Vaan, John Burke, Chris Allen, and Klara Herbol at the UK Games Expo this weeked, May 31st - June 2nd. If you're in the area, drop by and say hi!

Pirates of Pugmire is a chronicle sourcebook for both Pugmire and Monarchies of Mau. It’s usable in either game, or as part of a joint experience. Some highlights include:

* Two new species for players to enjoy: lizards and birds
   * Six new callings, including two for dogs and two for cats
   * Rules for building, sailing, and sinking ships
   * A trove of new allies, enemies, and treasures
   * Information on Waterdog Port and Port Matthew
   * “Going on the Account” a chronicle of three new adventures, taking characters from 1st through 6th level
